Description
Rocket Raccoon 22" X 12"
This is another piece that was inspired by a Skottie Young Rocket Raccoon comic cover, I really like his style of art. I had to modify it a bit from the original art, the moons are smaller (or is Rocket bigger?) and I changed the coloring just a tad...I tried to stay true to the original art as I could. I really enjoyed doing this piece, some of it was a little tedious...there are almost 300 individual pieces to cut out and some were very small. It was made by drawing the image on a pine board, cutting it out with a scroll saw, shaping and sanding every piece with a Dremel, then adding shims behind certain pieces to give it a 3-D look, then it is painted using acrylic paint, the shading and highlights are done using spray paint...I finish with 3 coats of clear coat. I love the way it turned out...now on to the next project
